Crepes~ All recipes.com

(Double for our family)
2 cups flour
4 eggs
1 cup milk
1 cup water
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 cup melted butter
mix wet ingredients and then slowly add flour
serve with fruit, jams...

Soft Pretzels~ Melissa Jones

1 TBSP yeast
1 1/2 cup warm water
1/2 cup brown sugar
4 1/2 cup flour
mix yeast and water wait 10 minutes
combine all other ingredients and let rise 30 min roll and shape. Dip in soada and water (1/4 cup baking soda to pie pan of water) and place on greased cookie sheet
Sprinkele with kosher salt or cinnamon and sugar
and bake for 10 minutes at 375 deg brush with butter while hot

Popcorn Balls~ Internet

3 qt popped popcorn
3 TBSP butter
1/2 cup small marshallows
1/2 small pack dry jello
on low heat melt butter and marshmallows
Remove from heat and add jello then pour over popcorn form balls will buttered hands
(you can take away the jello and add any candy or vanilla and food coloring)

Pumpkin Muffins/Bread~ Melanie

4 eggs
1 cup oil
2 cups pumpkin
3 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp baking soda
2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup nuts (opt)
1 bag chocolate chips
Mix wet ingredients and dry seperatly then slowly add dry to mix
Bake at 350 for 45 minfor bread or 20-25 for muffins (we perfer muffins!)

Pumpkin Pancakes~ All recipes.com

2 cups flour

2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp soda
1 tsp allspice
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp ginger
1/2 tsp salt (or replace spices with pumpkin pie spice with extra cinnamon)
1 1/2 cup milk
1 cup pumpkin
1 egg
2 TBSP oil
2 TBSp vinegar
mix and cook on hot griddle

Bread Puddin~ Jessica Steed

1 1/3 cup whipping cream
1/2 cup plus 2 TBSP sugar
1/4 cup milk
1 1/4 cup chocolate chips
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
4 cups bread in 1 inch cubes
preheat oven to 325 deg
simmer cream, sugar and milk, stir till sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and add chocolate chips. Stir till smooth
In separate bowl whisk eggs and mil gradually add choc to egg mixture. Let cool for 10 min can stir to help cool then add bread and the last 1/2 cup chocolate chips till coated. Then put in casserole dish sprinkle with 2 TBSP of sugar
Bake till set in the middle, about 50 min

Thia Chicken~ Deena Ditto

Cook chicken cubed with pepper and garlic salt saute carrots (matchstick), cabbage, peppers broccoli, green onions, pea pods, or any other vegatbles you like cook spaghetti noodles
Sauce
1/4 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup sugar
3 TBSP Soy sauce (I have also used terriaki sauce)
2 TBSp soy sauce
2 TBSP oil
1 tsp minced garlic
1/4 cup chicken broth
plus any hot sauce or pepper flakes (cyan)
whisk over med till bubbly
mix all toghether and juice a lime over the top and add cilantro if you have it!

Baklava~ Mom Workman

Mix together:
3 cups finely chopped nuts
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 tsp each of cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg
Melt 1 lb of butter
Brush butter over 2 layers of fillo dough, repeat through about 1/3 of the dough.
Spread half of the nut mixture over dough. Continue layering butter and dough for another 1/3 of the dough and butter

Cut into diamond shapes 3/4 of the way through the dough. Bake for 20 min in a 350 deg oven. Removeand cool 10 minutes. Pour syrup over dough and cool completely before the finish cutting
Syrup:
1 1/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup water
1tsp lemon juice
3 drops of vanilla
Bring to a boil and simmer for 10 minutes

Apricot Pineapple Ham~ Taste of Home

1/2 fully cooked bone in ham (5-7 lbs)
1 can 6 oz pineapple juice
1 jar (10 oz) pineapple preserves
1 jar (10 oz) apricot preserves
2 cans 8 oz each sliced pineapple drained
1 jar maraschino cherries with stems
Place ham on rack in roasting pan. Score the surface making diamond shapes 1/2 in deep. Pour pineapple juice over the ham. Cover and bake at 325 for 1 1/4 hours.
Uncover brush ham with preserves. Arrange pineapple slices and cherries on ham, securing with wooden toothpicks. Bake uncovered 25-30 minutes longer.

Choco-Holic Cake~ Magazine

1 pkg chocolate cake mix
1 pkg chocolate instant pudding pi mix
1 cup milk
1/2 cup sour cream
4 large eggs
1 cup chopped pecans
2 cups chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350 deg grease and flour bundt pan
Combine cake mix, pudding mix, milk, sour cream, and eggs in large mixing bowl. Beat on low speed until blended, beat on high speed for 2 minutes stir in chocolate chips and nuts and pour in prepared pan.
Bake for 55-65 minutes
Cool in pan for 20 minutes and then invert onto wire rack to cool completely
Glaze:
1 bar 2 oz Unsweetened chocolate baking bar
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
3 TBS butter
2-3 TBSP water
1 tsp vanilla
Melt baking bar and butter in small heavy duty sauce pan over low heat. Stir until smooth. Remove from heat. Stir in powdered sugar alternately with water until desired consistency. Stir in vanilla

Aloha Bread~ Mickey Herrin

1 cup butter
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
1 cup mashed bananas
4 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp soda
1 tsp salt
1 20 oz cann crushed pineapple, drained
1 cup chopped pecans
1 cup coconut
Preheat oven to 325 deg Grease 2 loaf pans. Set aside. In large mixing bowl cream butter and sugar. Add eggs. stir in bananas in separate bowl mix flour, baking powder, soda, and salt. Then add to banana mixture. Blend well, but be careful not to over mix. Add pineapple, pecans and coconut and mix together on low speed until blended. Pour into pans and bake for 60 to 80 min.

Stuffed Green Sweet Peppers~ Kelli Gard

(I have modified this one to be faster/ easier for me)
4 Large green sweet peppers
1can of black beans rinsed and drained
corn
1 box of Spanish rice
fresh cilantro
Cheddar or Monterrey Jack cheese
Fill pot with water and bring to boil while you clean out the peppers and leave whole only removing the tops, chop the tops to add to the rice mixture later. Boil Peppers for about 4-5 minutes
Mean while in a med sauce pan combine the chopped sweet pepper tops, black beans, corn, and uncooked Spanish rice. Brown with a little butter (according to box directions) and cook according to box directions. Toss to mix and add 1/2the cheese.
Fill the peppers and top with remaining cheese and bake in oven at 400 deg for 15 minutes or till cheese melts

Twice Baked Potaotes~ All recipes.com

4 large baking potatoes
1/2 lb bacon
4 TBSP butter 1 large onion chopped
1/2 cup chopped fresh mushrooms
1 tsp crushed red peper
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp ground black pepper
1 tsp chopped chives (or green onions)
1 tsp salt
1) 8oz container of sour cream
8 oz shredded cheddar cheese
1 tsp dry bread crumbs
Preheat oven to 400 deg poke pototoes and cook until soft.
Cook bacon and drain and crumble and set aside
Over medium low heat melt butter inlarge sauce pan. Combine onion, mushrooms, red pepper, garlic powder, pepper chives, adn slat cook slowely stirring tuntil onions are soft.
Slice open the baked potatoes and keeping the kins intact scoop the insides into a medium bowl. Transfer the onion mixture to the bwol. Mix inthe sour cream. Pour 1/2 of the cheese and continue mixing untill all ingredients are well blended.
Using a large spoon fill the potatoe skins with the mixture. Top with bread crumbs and the remaining cheese and bacon.
Return the potatoes to the oven and continue baking for about 15 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the filling is slightly brown

Red Garlic Mashed Potatoe ~ All recipes.com

8 med red potatoes cubed
2 tsp crushed garlic
1/2 cup butter or marg
1/4 cup half and half cream
2 TBSP white sugar
1/4 tsp steak seasoning
1/4 tsp garlic powder
Boil potatoes till soft with garlic. Drain and add the butter mash untill butter is melted, mix the half and half sugar, steak seasoning, garlic powder, and remainging garlic. Mix potatoes with mixer until smooth

Garlic Mashed Potatoes~ All recipes.com

8 lbs unpeeled red potatoes, quartered
1 1/4 lbs butter (room temp)
1/2 lb Romano Cheese grated
1/3 cup and 2 TBSP and 1 TSP ghopped garlic
1 TBSP and 3/4 tsp salt
1 TBSP and 3/4 tsp dried oregano
Boil pot of salted water and add potatoes and cook until tenderbut still firm, drain
Stir in butter, cheese, garlic, salt and oregano, Mash.

Crunchy Oven Baked Chicken Toes~ Rachel Ray

Mix in one dipping bowl (I like to use pie plates easy for dipping)
1 cup corn flakes
1 cup bread crumbs
2 TBSP brown sugar
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper

Meatloaf Muffins~ Rachel Ray

1 1/2 lbs ground beef
1 small onion cut into quarters
1 small green bell pepper
splash of milk
1 large egg beaten
1 cup bread crumbs
2 TBSP grill seasoning (Montreal steak seasoning)
1 cup BBQ sauce
1/2 cup salsa
1 TBSP Worcester sauce
Preheat oven to 450 deg grease muffin pan
put onion and peppers in food processor and chop
whisk mild egg and and to meat and veg. mixture then add bread crumbs and grill season.
In a small bowl mix BBQ sauce, Worcester sauce and salsa pour 1/2 in meat mix. Use ice cream scoop to put into muffin pan. Bake about 15 minutes

bacon cooked and broken into peices plus 4 TBSP of the left over grease

Mix
1 cup oil
2 cups sugar
3 eggs
2 cup shredded carrots
1 small can crushed pineapple drained
1 tsp vanilla
add 3 cups flour 1 cup chopped nuts
1 cup raisins
1tsp salt
1tsp soda
1 tsp cinnamon
mix well and bake 45 min at 350 deg

Cream Cheese Frosting
1)8 oz pkg cream cheese
1/2 stick butter
2 tsp vanilla
1Lb powderd sugar
soften butter and cream cheese, creame together and add vanilla and powdered sugar frost cake and sprinkle with 1 cup coconut.

Chocolate Cheese Cake~ Mom Workman

18 Oreo cookies
2 TBSP butter or Margarine
4 pkg (8 oz each) Phillie Cream Cheese (softened)
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup sugar
2 TBSP flour
1 pkg (8 squares) semi sweet bakers chocolate melted and slightly cooled
4 eggs
Mix Oreo crumbs and butter press to bottom of spring form pan bake @ 325 for 10 min
Beat cream cheese, sugar, flour and vanilla, with mixer until well blended Add chocolate and eggs mix just until blended. Pour over crust
Bake @ 325 deg for 55-60 min or until center is almost set. Run knife around rim of pan. Refrigerate 4 hours or over night garnish with sifted powdered sugar and berries if desired.

Olive Garden Salad~ Jenn Tietjen

Dressing:
1/2 cup white vinegar
1/3 cup water
1/3 cup oil
1/4 cup corn syrup
2 1/2 TBSP Grated Romano Cheese
2 TBSP dry pectin
1 1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp garlic minced
1/4 tsp parsley flakes
pink oregano and red pepper
Blend on low 30 seconds Chill at least one hour
Salad:
Lettuce
pepercinis
croutons
tomatoes, red onion, Parmesan cheese, olives

4-5 cups chicken cooked and shredded
1 cup celery chopped
2 TBSP grated onion

Almond Roca~ Jenn Tietjen

1 LB butter
2 cups sugar
Cook till brown like a paper sack, it will smoke. Test in cold water till hard crack stage
Pour in Jelly roll pan sprinkle 1 bag of milk chocolate chips and let set for 5 to 10minutes. Then spread and press on 1/2 cup almonds. Set in freezer for 20-30 minutes and removed and break into pieces.

Pear Raspberry Jam~ Mom Workman

6-7 pears chopped (ripe!)
24 oz Raspberries
Equalling 4 cups between the two
1/2 cup lemon juice
6 cups sugar
1 box pectin
mix fruit lemon juice and pectin boil one minute add sugar and bring to boil and pour into hot jars!

Breaded Ranch Chicken~ Sherri Gentry

3/4 cup crushed corn flakes
3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 envelope Ranch dressing mix
8 chicken breast
1/2 cup butter or margarine
combine cornflakes, Parmesan cheese, salad dressing mix, dip chicken in butter and then in cornflakes mixture place in greased 13x9 pan bake uncovered @350 deg for 45 minutes

Orange Chicken~ Sherri Gentry

1 egg
1/3 cup orange juice
1 to 1 1/2 cup stuffing mix crushed
1 1/2 tsp paprika
1 tsp salt
8 chicken breast
6 TBSP melted butter or margarine

In shallow bowl combine stuffing paprika, and salt
Dip chicken in egg and then into crumbs. Turn till coated well. Pour butter in 13x9 pan place chicken in dish turning once to butter both sides and baked uncovered @ 375 for 45 minutes

No fuss chicken~ Sherri Gentry

1 bottle (16 oz) Russian or Catalina dressing
2/3 cup Apricot jam
2 packets of onion soup mix
Mix together and pour over chicken breast
Cook in crock pot for as long as you want (all day or just till the chicken is all done)or in oven at 350 for 40 minutes
Shred and serve over rice

Sweet and Sour Pork Chops~ Sherri Gentry

6 pork chops
1/2 cup pineapple juice
1/2 cup ketchup
2 TBSP honey
2 TBSP vinegar
1 1/2 tsp Dijon mustard
1/4 tsp salt
4 TBSP Cornstarch
2 TBSP water
Put pork chops in 9x13 pan in a bowl mix pineapple juice, ketchup, honey, vinegar, mustard, and salt.Pour over pork cover and bake at 350 deg for 30 minutes. Uncover and bake 30 minutes longer till meat is tender. Remove chops and thicken sauce with cornstarch and water mixture. Cook until thick and bubbly serve over chops.

Strawberry Fruit dip

1 carton 8 oz spreadable strawberry cream cheese
2 TBSP strawberry jam
1 carton 8 oz frozen whipped topping thawed
1 jar marshmallow cream
mix in a bowl and serve with fruit

Chocolate Raisin cookies ~ Mrs Feilds

1 cup butter
2 oz unsweetened bakers chocolate
2 1/4 cup flour
1 tsp soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 cup raisins
1 cup chocolate chips
Melt 1/2 cup butter with chocolate
Combine flour, soda, and salt in separate bowl
Blend sugar then add butter, mix then add eggs and vanilla, mix add choc mixture and then flour.
Bake at 300 deg for 20-22 minutes

Broccoli Salad~ Jenn Tietjen

Dressing:
1 egg + 1 egg yolk
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 tsp dry mustard
1 1/2 tsp corn starch
Whisk together and set a side
1/2 cup vinegar
1/4 tsp salt
2 TBSP butter
1/2 cup mayo (I use Miracle Whip)
1/4 cup water
Stir together in sauce pan till warm and then add first ingredients while whisking (don't get to hot or the eggs with lump and cook) stir all together for 10 minutes and till all thick then add butter and mayo and chill (I have served this warm when in a hurry too and it was still yummy!)
Salad:
4 cups broccoli
1 cup raisins
1 cup mushrooms (opt)
1/2 cup onion chopped
6 slices of bacon crumbled

Cheater's Cheese cake~ Mom Workman

1/2 cup sugar
8 oz cool whip
1) 8oz cream cheese
Mix till smooth and pour over Graham cracker crust will fill 2) 9 inch pie pans or 1) 9x13 pan
Graham Cracker crust, Crushed Graham crackers, sugar and melted butter.

Pistachio Mallow Salad~ Aunt Sheila Workman

9 Oz cool whip
Pistachio Pudding (prepared)
1/2 cup nuts
16 oz can crushed pineapple (don't drain)
2 Cups mini marshmallows

Chicken Ritz Casserole~ Allison Bevans

2-3 cups chicken cooked and shredded
1 can cream chicken soup
1 can cream mushroom soup
1 pint sour cream
1/2 cup water or chicken broth
1 tube Ritz crackers
6 TBSP butter or Margarine melted
In sauce pan combine first 5 ingredients and bring to warm temp.
Melt butter and crush Crackers and mix together. Pour soup mixture in 9x13 pan (or 2 quart casserole dish) and sprinkle crackers on top. Bake 350 deg until top is golden (about 20 minutes) serve over noodles or rice.

Best Whole wheat bread~ Sherri Gentry

5 cups warm water
2 TBSP yeast
1/2 cup oil
1/2 cup honey
1TBSP Salt
10 cups wheat flour
Don't use extra flour if sticks wet hands with water, need for about 12 minutes. Well greased pan rise one time. bake at 375 deg for 30-35 minutes

Apple Salad~ Grandma Lucy

Peel 2 apples
1 banana
celery
Nuts
cranberries or raisins
mini marshmallows
mayo and peanut butter and a little sugar

Cupids Chicken "n" stuffing ~ magazine

1 package stuffing mix (stove top)
8 boneless skinless chicken breasts
1 TBSP canola oil
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp Pepper
4 Swiss cheese slices (I have also used mozzarella)
2 TBSP butter or Margarine
1 can cream chicken soup
1/4 cup water
Prepare stuffing according to directions Transfer to a greased 13x9 pan
In a large skillet, brown chicken, Sprinkle with salt and pepper, and place over stuffing. Top with cheese drizzle with butter.
Combine soup and water and spoon over stuffing. Cover and bake 10-15 minutes or until chicken juices run clear.

Orange Julius

2/3 cup Orange Juice concentrate
1 cup milk
1 cup water
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla
5 ice cubes blend for 30 seconds

Fairy Rolls ~Allison Bevans

(1/2 this most of the time)
1 cup shortening (or margarine)
2 cups hot water
3/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
2tsp salt
8 cups flour
2 pkg yeast (4 TBSP)
1 TBSP baking powder
* Combine hot water and shortening, then add yeast and sugar add eggs and beat.Stir in dry ingredients. Let rise until double.
Shape rolls rise and bake at 400 deg for 10 min.

Dressing

1/2 package won tons fried (we also bake these sprayed with non stick spray)

Chicken Lasagna~ Mom Workman

8 Oz lasagna noodles
1/2 cup butter melted
1/2 cup flour
salt pepper
1/2 tsp basil
3 cups chicken broth
Cook over med high heat till thickened
3 cups Chicken
16 oz cottage cheese mixed together with one egg
10 oz chopped broccoli
Mozzarella cheese
Parmesan cheese
Make layers of noodles, chicken and broccoli, and cheese and sauce alternating. Top with sauce, and more cheese and bake at 350 deg for 45 minutes

4 Berry Jam

1 cup black berries
1 cup Marion berries
1 1/2 cup strawberries
1 1/2 cup raspberries
1 box fruit pectin
7 cups sugar
Crush berries stir in pectin bring to rolling boil over high heat stirring constantly.
Boil for one minute stir in sugar and return to full boil. Remove from heat and pour into hot jars.

Carmel Corn/ Cracker Jacks~ Mom Workman

3 cups sugar
1 cup corn Syrup
1 1/3 cup boiling water (boil to 275-280 deg)
Add
1/4 lb butter
stir till brown
remove from heat and add
2 tsp vanilla
2tsp soda
stir on stove 1 min
pour over popped popcorn
spread on foil or wax paper till cooled

Peanut Brittle ~ Grandma Nola

1 cup sugar
1cup raw peanuts
1/2 cup corn syrup
1/8 tsp salt
Combine first 4 ingredients and microwave4 minutes on high
Stir and microwave 2 minutes more
Add 1 tsp margarine and 1 tsp vanilla stir and microwave on high 2 minutes more
add 1 tsp soda and stir until foam disappears. Pour onto a greased cookie sheet or greased foil while hot can pull and stretch till syrup is quite thin. Let set to harden and break into pieces.

Good Stuff~ Mom Workman

4 cups fruit loops
1 cup peanuts
2 cups chinnese egg noodles
2 cups pretzel sticks
1 cup mini marshmellows (colored ones are best!)
Melt Almond bark and pour over cereal mixture and then spread out on wax paper or tin foil till cool
1 LB white Almond Bark

Swiss Mushroom Chicken~ Magazine

4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
Start grilling these while you
saute Mushrooms and chopped onions
Place mushrooms and onions on chicken that is almost done then place a slice of swiss cheese on top and allow to melt over chicken and mushrooms

1 cup milk flour
Cinnamon, vanilla, sugar, salt
Beat together
bake in
1/2 cube marg melted in 13x9 pan
400 deg for 20 minutes

No bake cookies ~ Sherri Gentry

1/2 cup margarine
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup canned evaporated milk
4 TBSP Cocoa
Boil for 1 1/2 minutes
Remove from heat and add
1 tsp vanilla

when melted add

Cook in oven 3 hours at 300 deg no lid

1/4 cup sugar
1/2 tsp dry mustard
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 cup vinegar
1 tsp onion chopped
1/4 cup veg oil
1 tsp celery seed
1 tsp seedless red raspberry jam (Or substitute with fresh raspberries and sugar)
Combine sugar dry mustard, salt, vinegar, raspberries, onion in blender process until smooth. Add oil and celery seed while running blender. Refrigerate.

Glazed Carrots~ Rhinnetta Fredrick (Monmouth 1st Ward)

1/4 cup butter (NOT margarine)
1 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup light corn syrup
1/8 cup orange juice concentrate
1 tsp salt
1 lb baby carrots cooked
combine first 5 ingredients bring to boil over med heat. Broil 5 minutes
Place carrots in 9x13 pan pour mixture over, bake uncovered at 350 deg for 30-40 minutes

Chicken Roll ups~ Rhinnetta Fredrick (Monmouth 1st ward)

2 cups cooked chicken (or left over turkey)
1) 8 oz cream cheese
1 pkg cressent rolls (or 2)
1 cup crushed bread crumbs
1/2 cup melted margarine

Mix chicken and cream cheese.
Place 1 TBSP of mixture on flattened cressent roll. Roll up sealing edges and roll into ball. Roll in butter and bread crumbs Cook at 350 deg for 25-30 minutes

* Gravey 1 can of cream chicken soup

pancakes ~ Mom Workman

1 cup flour
1TBSP sugar
1TBSP baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1 egg
1 cup milk
2 TBSP oil
Beat together till just smooth

Syrup 2 times amount sugar as water plus maple flavoring boil and simmer for a few minutes

Monster Cookies~ Mom Workman

1/2 cup marg
1/2 cup shortening
Melt in sauce pan
add
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup sugar
1TBSP vanilla
2 eggs
1 cup oatmeal
1 cup crushed cornflakes
1/2 cup coconut
2 cups flour
1 TBSP baking soda
1 TBSP baking powder
add nuts, raisins, chocolate chips,
Bake at 350 deg for 10 min (should look slightly under done)

Grilled Peach Chicken~ Magazine

(I double this for our family)
1 cup of sugar
2 TBSP cornstarch
1 cup water
Mix till smooth and bring to boil and stir 2 minutes then remove from heat and add
2TBSP peach jello powder
1 med peach chopped and spread on chicken while grilling. Set aside some of this for dip while serving.

Beef Stroganoff~ Mom Workman

1 LB beef cut into strips
2 1 1/2 cup beef broth
1 tsp garlic
2 TBSP ketchup
salt and pepper
2 TBSP butter or Marg
8 oz mushrooms
1 med onion chopped
3 TBSP flour
1/2 cup water 1 cup sour cream
Melt butter and cook onion and mushrooms until but but slightly krisp. Remove from pan and set aside. Add beef to pan brown and add beef broth. Ketchup, garlic salt pepper. Bring to Boil and cover and lower heat. Simmer for 20 minutes (until meat is tender) Shake flour and water and stir in till thickened. Add Sour cream and serve immediately.
* I like to add a can of golden mushroom soup with the ketchup step.
Serve over noodles or rice

Sweet and Sour Chicken/ pork~ Mom Workman

2 TBSP oil
1 TSP pork or chicken cut up into 1 inch cubes
1) 20 oz can of pineapple chunks
1/2 cup corn syrup
1/4 cup cider vinegar
2 TBSP ketchup
2 TBSP soy sauce
1 tsp garlic
Veg optional
2 TBSP corn starch
2 TBSP water
Serve with rice
Brown meat well add pineapple, syrup, vinegar ketchup, soy sauce, and garlic. Bring to boil reduce heat and cover and simmer for 15 minutes (till meat is tender)
Add veg if desired mix cornstarch and water and stir in till thickened

Clam Chowder ~ Mom Workman

Serves 6
1 small onion chopped
1 1/2 cup diced potatoes (2 -3)
1/2 cup shredded carrots
1) 8 oz can minced clams
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup mild
1 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
pepper to taste
Drain juice from clams onto chopped veg. Cover with water to just covered. Bring to boil. Cover and lower heat and simmer 20 minutes, until potatoes are very soft.
In separate pan, melt butter stir in flour. Add milk and stir constantly until thickened. Add to potatoes, stir in clams and seasoning.

Add crisp bacon for different seasoning, omit clams and add corn for corn chowder,or leave out clams for potato soup

Bread/ rolls/ cin rolls ~ Grandma Donna Workman

4 cups warm water
2 tsp salt
1/4 cup sugar
1 cube margarine
1 TBSP yeast
6-7 flour
Use soften butter dissolve yeast in water. Add all but flour stir well.
Cover and leave for 10 min. Add remaining flour, 1 cup at a time until stiff
Use hands and add more flour and knead don't let get dry. Use oil or flour on hands to keep from sticking.
Cover and let rise till double in size about 1 hour
beat down and knead again cover and let rise again in bread pans
Bake at 350 deg for one hour Remove from pans to cool. Butter tops
(for rolls change water to mild and add 1 egg)

Bread ~ Sherri Gentry

4 1/2 cup milk
2 TBSP shortning
4 TBSP sugar
4 tsp salt
Warm in pan just till shortning melts

4 cups flour
5 tsp yeast
add milk mixture and add 4 more cups of flour as kneeding Make at 375 deg for 30 minutes in greased pans.
This also works well with 1/2 wheat and 1/2 white flour

Grandma's Cut out Cookies~ Grandma Donna Workman

2 eggs
1/2 cup shourtning
1 cup sugar
1 1/2- 2 cups flour
1 tsp cream tartar
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp vanilla
bake 8-10 min at 350 deg

Dill Pickles ~Nadine Davis

1 quart Vinegar
1 cup pickling salt
2 quarts water
boil and pour over jars filled with
cucumbers, dill garlice (small peice)
1/4 tsp alumn 1/2 chilli pepper
quickly put hot lids on and seal

zucchini Bread~ Nadine Davis

3 eggs
1 cup oil
beat till light

add:
2 cups sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups graeted Zucchini
add:
3 cups flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp soda
1 tsp cinnimon
1/4 tsp baking poweder
1 cup nuts (opt)
Bake in loaf pans at 350 deg for 45 min or until done

Molasses Cookies ~ Mom Workman

1 cup sugar
1/4 cup mild molasses
1 egg
2 tsp soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnimon, cloves, and ginger
2 cups flour
mix, roll into balls, roll into sugar
Bake 7-8 min at 350 deg

Chocolate Zucchini Bread~ Jenn Tietjen

3 eggs
1 cup oil
2 cups sugar
Mix
Add
2 1/2 cup shredded Zuccini
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
3 tsp cinnimon
1 tsp salt
1tsp vanilla
3 cups flour
3 TBSP cocoa

add 1 cup chopped nuts (opt)
1 bag chocolate chips
pour into 2 large bread pans (greased)
Bake at 350 deg for 1 hour
