Carmel Corn/ Cracker Jacks~ Mom Workman

3 cups sugar
1 cup corn Syrup
1 1/3 cup boiling water (boil to 275-280 deg)
Add
1/4 lb butter
stir till brown
remove from heat and add
2 tsp vanilla
2tsp soda
stir on stove 1 min
pour over popped popcorn
spread on foil or wax paper till cooled
